Adam Truby

Senior Research Technician in Vaccine Encapsulation

In 2014 I started my career as an animal technician with Biomedical Services at the University of Oxford. For the most part I worked towards the care and welfare of Zebrafish and Xenopus frogs.

In 2019 I acquired my Home Office PIL and in 2020 joined the Jenner Institute as the insectary technician. Here I was responsible for rearing and infecting a colony of Anopheles stephensi mosquitos for preclinical malaria challange studies.

During 2020 I also played a role as part of the COVID-19 vaccine trial team, being part of the team recieving and logging all samples coming into the lab.

In 2024 I joined the Vaccine Formulation and Adjuvants group as a senior research technician. Using my previously gained experience in preclinical assays I am contributing towards the development and characterisation of vaccine encapsulation by microfluidics.
